The Sackville Rivers association is conducting an ongoing study of the water quality within the Sackville river watershed.
Our directors complete a full water quality test monthly, and seasonally our volunteers conduct a weekly PH test of major tributaries.
We like to keep a close eye on the river and always patrol the affected areas after a heavy rainfall or disturbance/development event, for silt or other problems. We can use your help! Though our in stream season runs from June first to september thirty-first (to protect eggs from siltation) anyone who would like to help us continue and expand our water quality program is welcome to contact us. Contact information can be found on the home page, and for more details on siltation look under pollution. (and please don’t drive vehicles through our streams!)
