We acknowledge that we are in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People.
The Sackville River and its watershed encompass a large area of outstanding natural beauty within the Halifax Regional Municipality and the county of East Hants in the province of Nova Scotia.
Click/tap the button below to see a map of the Sackville River watershed.
Much of the watershed, the river and its tributaries have suffered from neglect and poor past development practices.
The Sackville Rivers Association (SRA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1988. We are dedicated to the preservation, restoration and sustainable management of the Sackville River watershed.
A well managed watershed forms part of a healthy, sustainable community and provides citizens with innumerable recreational opportunities such as: walking, boating, cycling, angling, birding and many others.
